Bottom 2 in the big blind
30/60 both villains are regulars. EP is good and aggressive, a little too loose, but is decent at reading hands and good at manipulating opponents. LP is terrible player, plays too many hands he's somewhat passive, but randomly donks on the turn with a wide range of hands. He hass been running hot. Hero is perceived as tight, aggressive and maybe too predictable.
3 limpers, SB completes, and Hero checks 62o in the BB, 5 SB and the flop comes J62 rainbow. SB checks, I bet, EP raises, 1 fold, LP 3 bets, SB folds, Hero? |

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
4-town.
I think we have the best hand here. I like raising for value as well as facing the tag w the decision of calling two cold and isoing a weak player. |

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
Tough spot. I would cap it and lead a non Jack turn and fold to a raise.

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
Would LP 3-bet with TP? I would cap and lead turn against just about anyone.

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
I agree with the field here. Cap the flop, lead the turn, and drop it if you are raised.

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
Is anyone else not sure we can safely fold to a turn raise with this hand?

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
I don't like folding to a turn raise unless the turn is a J, in which we shouldn't be betting anyways. Anything T and up is obviously a scare card, but I would be showdown bound.

Re: Bottom 2 in the big blind
Ugh I totally botched this hand, I folded. Turn went check, bet, call, river went check, check. Early position had JT and LP had QJ.
I figured there were just too many ways I could lose this hand since the 2 pair were so low and I had rarely seen LP 3 bet with just top pair. The main thing that I forgot to take into account was that LP also would never 3 bet with 2 pair on that board. Oh well, live and learn. |
