Potential AC dealing questions

So my [censored] license from the Casino Control Commission finally came today. I am about to sign up with a school and the whole school process takes about a month.

I guess my questions are:

What should I be doing now to the time I start school? (I have been practicing pitching down cards or a few months now and would say I am pretty good at it, but still need work so I know that is one.)

After school ends how do I go about applying for a job? (I understand that I may need to be a tourney dealer before getting a cash dealer job. I also understand AC's seasonal nature and that it may be difficult to get a job now, but I just graduated college and now is when I am able to start looking for a job.) Basically, who do I talk to about applying? Maybe where should I go to first? Is asking for the graveyard shift more helpful in my getting a job?
