super ssnl question with answers that might differ a lot?
party 5/10, BB is a good regular but we do not have that many hands together and do not tangle that much so no razor sharp postflop reads - he is 22/17 and folds BB to steal 75%ish.
i raise black aces ( [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) in CO. BB calls. flop comes 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. BB bets $60 into ~$75. whats ur flop play and more importantly what is ur plan for various turns and possibly rivers? |

Re: super ssnl question with answers that might differ a lot?
I call this flop almost 100percent of the time. I def don't feel comfortable raisng since he's going to shove a lot of hands here, and we're always either WB/SA when that happens. This is a super tricky hand to play vs good opponents since there are so many scare cards that can come out where they can represent something big. I think I usually go into call down mode here and just hope to get to showdown as cheaply as possible, and I would often fold if a diamond/straight card hits.

Stacks are very important with answering these questions.
Assuming 100BB stacks, I look to get money in on flop. He calls with alot of worse hands where he may shut down on blank turn. |

ya i call down, maybe fold somewhere depending on player. not many id feel comfortable raising against since it allows them to play pretty simplay and high reverse implied for us.

Ya I'd polarize my range more than usual on this board. Calling seems right.

Re: super ssnl question with answers that might differ a lot?
Raising is kind of suicidal unless he is one those types you will call it rather than push or fold.
If the turn is ugly, you probably just have to fold right there if he leads again. |

Raising is not suicidal. Infact I have no clue what that means.

Re: super ssnl question with answers that might differ a lot?
It means that he shoves sets, straights, 12+ out draws and folds bluffs, like that with AA ?

Re: super ssnl question with answers that might differ a lot?
For the record, I think he is rarely bluffing. I also think we are ahead of alot of his hands and will only get full value from them with flop aggression.
The fact that we raise here should keep our range wide and allow him to either stack off light or atleast pay for a turn card. This hand plays differently if the flop were higher (9dTdJc say). Here I am more likely to call. |
