I know nothing about Australian politics but, bet 1 seems +EV.

given that i made the bet after he announced that he would be the leader, yes, it was quite +EV.

unfortuantely, the time length of the bet (about 15 months or so) really just makes it an investment with a guaranteed 25% return over 15mths.
