xanthro,

hands like qq don't have that many outs. not only that, i don't think it's true that most good players bet qq when checked to in a sng in this situation.

hands like flush draws are frequently going to shove a flop like this one because they have lots of outs and can make you fold tptk, because they are not entirely dumb.

While I agree many flush draws will push this, I still believe a number of QQ or JJ hands will bet, and even if they check, you are giving a free card for someone to make a straight.

Betting out on the flop will at least give some information as to whether to continue if resistence is encountered, and perhaps take down the pot right there.

What was OP going to do if a J or Q came on the turn or river? Hope there wasn't a bet when he checked?

xanthro,

i don't think any good player should mind check folding a KQT9 or KJT9 board oop against a good player with one pair.

I agree, I'd fold on the turn. I don't think many will disagree with the turn check fold. My concern is the flop check call. I can see betting the flop, and check folding the flop, I don't see the line on the call is all.
