Peter Gammons
Does anyone know if he's sick or anything? Last time I was listening to him he was slurring his words and stuttering a lot. Just now I was sitting here and only half listening to the TV. I got annoyed at whoever was stuttering and realized it was him. Has anyone else noticed this? He's getting pretty old, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Peter Gammons
He had a brain aneurysm.
Enough is enough with this guy. I understand ESPN bringing him back as a morale booster since sports is this guy's life. I would hope after this baseball season they can talk him out of coming back. |

Re: Peter Gammons
i'd rather gammons map out his thoughts on a lite-brite display board than listen to steve phillips speak

Re: Peter Gammons
I was actually surprised how sharp he came back after his aneurysm. I guess I was expecting an Ebert-type return (who was really sad to watch). Though I haven't seen Gammons ultra-recently, maybe not since the All Star break, so he might be in deep decline. I definitely still like him on staff.
(and the Lite-Brite reference was a winner.) |
