£10 nl cash river decision vs 2p2er
100ish eff stacks, 5p/10p blinds
villain is a decent aggressive thinking player. we've got a lot of history. villian probably sees me similarly, but might have me noted as somewhat of a calling station / xpert bluff catcher. preflop (£0.15) villain raises to 30p, I call with AXo. flop (£0.60) Ad Qd 6c. I have no diamonds. I check call 50p. (usual cb was 40p) turn (£1.60) 5h. I check call 1.20 ish. river (£4.00) Kh. I check, and villain bets £4. villain's range is not completely polarised here: he understands thin valuebetting and range merging (but how often and how well he does this is another question). What, if any, one pair AX hands are you calling with? |

Re: £10 nl cash river decision vs 2p2er
do i need to multiply all the amounts by 10 to get some responses, or is this too opponent dependant to comment on?
ballpark answers are fine. also, how do you like my line pre-flop and post-flop with low, medium, and high aces? how often should i be using it vs taking the lead somewhere before the river? |

Re: £10 nl cash river decision vs 2p2er
I hate ur line. Im usually going to c/r that flop, at least check raise the turn. The problem with your line is that you have no idea where you are in the hand. As played you can beat a triple barrel bluff, but thats about it. Im probably folding

Re: £10 nl cash river decision vs 2p2er
Not really much to add bosey. Except that the river is a fold. Looks to me like the classic pot-build, pot-build, bet with the nuts (alot of the time = J10 (Diamonds)); triple barrel bluff fk all of the time as the bet sizing for the river is strange; and finally you are just beat by two pair and your are being taken to valuetown just like Negreanu and Hellmuth on HSP.
We can agree that your line is suspect as you have no real insight as to his holding. Do you think he has an ace (prob not); do you think he thinks you have an ace (prob yes when he bluffs and he when he takes you to value town). In short, your hand is a) transparent and b) mostly behind. As said, check raise flop or (and/or) turn... |
