Well this is the newest incarnation of the W$ marketplace. The marketplace has been split to two seperate threads one for Selling and one for buying. <font color="blue">What is the normal rate for selling W$ - Generally W$ sell for about 90% their value. For example 100 W$ would sell for $90. This is only a base though and as events such as the WCOOP come closer the price may increase slightly or decrease as it gets further away. Also deals are generally given for bulk purchases.</font>

I've been informed that Stars is allowing direct-buyins to the EPT Deauville event in a few weeks. Here are the terms that were sent to me via email:

"The direct buy-in conditions for the Deauville EPT are as follows:

* buy-in in W$ only
* player must have lifetime 10,000 FPPs
* Package does not include accommodation. Direct buy-in players are responsible for organising their own travel and hotel accommodation for this event.

If you are happy with that, then please email us to confirm that we can debit your account 4,000 euro this event. At present rates, this would be $4,826.60."

I'm assuming that since they allowed it for at least one player, they'll allow it for other players with 10,000 lifetime FPPs if you request it.

Anyway, I have some W$ that I'm selling for 92%. I plenty of W$, so you won't need to figure out where to fill out your balance in order to get a seat. You'd get into this event for $4440.47 (roughly $400 cheaper than regular $) according to the pricing above.

PS - In response to sirio11's comment in the other thread: They have told people that, but they are now allowing players with 10K FPPs to buyin. Please email Conrad and check before purchasing W$ for the event.

PokerStars is currently running satellites to the WPT Los Angeles Poker Classic for the first two Sunday's in February. You can win your entry via the $33+Rebuys multiple table tournament or the $150 Double Shootout, there will be one of each of these satellites each Sunday.

You can also buyin directly to the event by using W$. In order to be eligible to buyin with W$ you need to have earned 10,000 lifetime Frequent Player Points(FPP) on your PokerStars account. The deadline to buyin with W$ is 2/12/2006.
