Default How to Dominate $1 and $2 No Limit Hold\'em

I thought I'd get a thread started for this new NL cash game book:

Search inside...

From a perusal of the contents it looks promising.

York notes: old cash game pro gives a guide to low stakes (live, FR?) NLHE cash, mixed in with a dash of gambling stories. Looks like a 'could be dodgy, could be great' sort of book.

Any early reviews?

I'm gonna give it a try, although I figure it to be good mostly for the old time stories. Anything to occupy my mind until PNL comes out.

Pulled up a random page in Amazon...here's a few interesting sentences..

"If we want to win more pots than just the pots planned by our share of good cards, we have to have the power image. Better yet, we must be the Dominator."

"We can leave the game on time and bring home the cleaning without having our spouse's summary command bellowed across the card room."

thanks for posting those quotes....

are you really judging a book on that first quote? is it that bad a quote?. i'm assuming you thought the quotes were bad, but i guess it's not that clear to me if you meant that.

..... he's basically saying if you're aggressive you can win pots without having strong cards. something i think mr's ivey, greenstein, negreanu etc. understand very well. you need to be somewhat careful and not go overboard. but basically you can win pots two ways (best hand, or everyone has folded)

I'm not judging the book at all; I haven't read it (aside from that one page). I just thought the quotes were funny.
