a sick call is only good when the person is humble about it (like they've been there before)..Tran is such a douche that he has to make sure everyone KNOWS how good a call it is by talking about it for 30 minutes

i have to agree, He's a great player and makes some sick calls, but does he have to stand up run around and yell "i am the greatest" everytime? When he made that call against Amnon where they only hand he could really beat was the missed 7-8 draw, He should have stood up ran to his buddies and yelled "i am a donkey", When Barry talks about stu and says: you always hear about his great calls but never about his great laydowns

My brother told me this story about Kenny Tran at a $100/$200 NL Cash game at the WSOP. Guy (LAG) raises normal amount, everyone folds to Kenny in the BB, Kenny looks at LAG and shows him KK and folds. LAG flips over Aces. Obviously I wasn't there so I can't personally confirm, but I'll take my brothers word for it. But sick laydown if its true.

Yeah.. knowing your opponent has AA and folding to a normal raise when you can easily win a huge pot or stack him on a K high flop = expert.

yeah, it's really easy stacking AA oop. especially at a vegas 100-200 nl game, those games are so easy, i mean every pot is massive. getting KK away from AA is not easy and it doesn't get any easier postflop. folding KK knowing your opponent has AA is not the best play ever but it is alot better (a whole [censored] lot better) than jamming KK oop thinking you've got nut and having AA rip you a new azzhole. cool laydown if it's true imo.

Are you perhaps retarded? Folding is stupid unless he has exactly AA, AND THEN ITS EVEN STUPIDER. How are you going to lose a big pot if you KNOW 100% he has AA? And if you dont know 100% HOW ON GODS GREEN EARTH ARE YOU FOLDING PREFLOP? Let me clear it up for you:

Step 1: Read souls and know other guy has AA
Step 2: Call preflop raise worth small % of your stack
Step 3: Flop a K, find a way to get it all in. Dont flop a K, fold or reevaluate depending on how much he bets.
Step 4: Profit gobs of mobnies.

I think Kenny is awesome to watch.

I thought his call on the 4 heart board with 1 pair in the Main Event was the best though.
