Default heads up hit and runners

its really annoying.

why doesnt the online sites implement a predetermined hand amount option. in other words, player A is sitting. player B sits down. a box appears on the screen and you type in the amount of hands you want to play.......the other player can agree or refuse. once the hand amount is agreed, then the hands have to be played out till the set amount is over or one goes busted.

ok, lets say theres an indefinate disconnect problem and player A cant get back in time........player B gets his original buyin money and whatever profit he has won, and the rest gets thrown into a limbo account that the disconnected player A has one week to recover by finishing his match. the rematch can be continued through an agreed upon time done through an email system or whatever through the poker site. if the disconnected player makes no effort to restart the match within a weeks time.......all of the limbo money goes to player B.

this of course is a rough example that i'm sure can be streamlined. i think its a good idea and it eliminates chicken [censored] hit and runners.

its such bs for people to hit and run because there are plays you can make that are only worthy if you know the opponent is going to stay a while.

why should i 3 bet someone light if i know he's only going to stay till he makes a little chunk and run off?

these things can be solved easily in my opinion.

Great ideas man, I know what you're talking about. It's usually the idiots that buy in for short that make a quick hit then run. To combat this, just play players that buy in full.

Same here.

What would happen if you suddenly HAD to leave due to unforseen circumstances? Would you still be committed to another 50 hands even though your wife was in the hospital?
