Various bank branches are likely to have more or less cash available. Wander into a grocery store bank and they may get cranky with a request for $10K. Visit the main branch and they likely won't flinch.

I once had my local credit union get pissy with me when I asked for $1000 in cash when I deposited my paycheck. BIG SIGH and she shouts out "do we have any extra cash today" and when the answer is "no" she tries to talk me out of it and explains I REALLY need to give them notice if I'm gonna ask for that much cash. BoA shouldn't have any troubles.

Correct...Bank of America has a stone cold max of $2,500 a day for ATMs...trust me..I have tried everything possible and they won't raise it above that...

You haven't tried everything possible. I was told the same thing, asked them to close my account on the spot, suddenly a senior VP was able to wave his hand and overide the limit.

Citibank let you have 2k per day from the ATM's including the 7 11 ATMS. Unlimited amount of cash over the counter.

Evolution of carrying cash:

Trip 1. Buying drinks. Withdraw $60, put in wallet.

Trip 2. Playing serious home game. Withdraw $300, put in wallet.

Trip 3. Bankrolled for $1-$2 in Vegas. Carry $900 in $20s. They don't fit in a wallet. Big psychological moment, and not a happy one. Fold over, put in pants, feel nervous walking in.

Trip 4. Ready for $5-$10, carry $5,000. Never carry a $20 again. Use two rubber bands.

Trip 5. $10-$20, first go, $13,000 in pocket. $10,000 is rubber-banded together with 14 rubber bands. Lose $3K in an hour, feel worst you've ever felt.

Trip 6. Wide-open $10-$20, might play $25-$50, have $17,000 in front pockets, damn these jeans are getting tight.

Trip 7. $25-$50 for real, might play $50-$100. $30,000 does not fit in jeans pocket. This is the second big moment, because you have to decide whether to wear khakis, wire money, or put cash in your CARRY-ON which is harder than the transition from wallet to pocket. Much, much harder.

Put cash in carry-on, seriously wish you could carry a firearm in Vegas.

Trip 8: oh wait I have a day job.

At this very moment it is back to it's normal $1k, whenever I travel to LV I stop by my bank and ask them to increase it to whatever. The highest I asked them to do it for was $5k (the time I mentioned above). Since I have a pretty large LOC at most of the casinos I frequent I normally just use that even though they would prefer I only use that for table game play. Since I always give them plenty of table action I've never had a problem with anyone questioning me using it to play poker as well.

However at TI they often ask me to settle my marker before I leave the table session if I am ahead, I usually politely tell them no then head to the bellagio or Wynn to play poker. They are the only casino that seems worried about markers but it may just be the particular craps pit boss on duty when I play during the day.

Most of the replies you got weren't really very helpful...
Things to note:
1) Most of the casinos are link together for check cashing. Last time I was there, I presented a check at RIO and they said let me put you into the system. One minute later, I had a $4400 limit for that visit, that was good at all the big casinos.
2) Yes, BofA will increase your daily limit easily to $2500. But remember, to get it you will have to go to B of A. The Casino ATMs are extremely expensive, have typically have $500 limits. To get more from them, you have to charge to a credit card at outrageous 6-7% fees.
3) You should be able to get traveler's check's from your local branch for $5000 even if they don't carry that much cash.
