Default MS Access

How long does it take to learn MS Access? I've never programmed with it before. By self teaching, how competent could I be in, let's say, a few weeks of study? Could I learn the basics? Be an intermediate Access programmer? I'd like to be able to learn just enough to be able to stick it on my resume, and as quickly as possible. I don't necessarily need to be an expert, but there are some jobs I want to apply to that prefer a basic or intermediate knowledge of MS Access. Assume I am reasonably smart, am not a complete idiot with computers, and have some C++ programming experience (although I have no idea if that would be helpful or not).

I know "beginner" and "intermediate" knowledge are not very descriptive, but I appreciate any insight you can give me.

I think a few weeks of training yourself using online or print tutorial program and you could definitely become proficient enough to put it on your resume.

Access isn't a programming language, it's a DBMS.
It's very easy to learn, don't worry.

It's easy to learn, and you could learn it proficiently in less than a day.

I haven't used it in quite a while, but I was thinking along the lines of a day as well.

seconded. its based around MySql, which stands for structured query language, basically a way for you to query the database and get it to do stuff for you, like sort the data and return data with different qualifications etc.
