Having a psychotic breakdown (nervous breakdown) seems much more likely. These are temporary affairs and last from hours to months, and almost EVERybody has one (in a very mild form, with very limited psychosis) at one point in their life. This explains why she seemed (and for all practical purposes, was) normal a short while ago but now is a raving lunatic. (Raving lunatic is not a scientific term, btw) Makes sense, right? If the girl starts having them with great frequency and severity it's a good sign of bipolar disorder. (manic depression) 3 ex-girlfriends with moderate to severe bipolar disorder, ftw. I'm probably qualified for a PHD in this [censored]. It's actually funny (in the very not funny way) that schizophrenia was brought up, because for years and years people with severe bipolar disorder were diagnosed as schizophrenic which resulted in them being [censored] up even more. On surface level they look the same, with the full blown psychosis (not like 'man that bitch crazy' but actual auditory and visual hallucinations with divergences in reality) being the big characteristic, but the root of each is totally different. Bipolar people were given schizo medication and bam, craziness^2.
