Re: 2/4 Im confused
I think I raise and get it in vs UTG and fold vs any funny business vs anyone else. Flatting is OK sometimes too vs this type of opponent.

Re: 2/4 Im confused
meh, its a standard call i think.
Calling creates an edge for yourself whereas raising just induces a shove that puts you in a neutral to neg ev spot. Giving him a free card sucks ass, but sb and bb are left to act, and you'll still have a valuable hand on a heart turn since you have Qh. |

Re: 2/4 Im confused
I lean towards calling, especially with people left to act. You'll have position either way-whether they call or not.
It's hard to say whether UTG's small bet is trying to induce a raise from you, the PFR, or whether he's trying to set the price for his draw. Without notes, I would err on the conservative side and let a card peel off. Assuming HU, if non-heart falls on turn and UTG continues his smallish bet, I'd raise him. If heart falls, I might call a 1/2 pot bet and fold to river bet. Anything else is read dependent for me |

Re: 2/4 Im confused
I definitely like the play rest of the hand, 24/7 types don't surprise me when they make another small value bet on the turn here when they hit their flush.
For flop play I agree with most of what was said above but I lean towards raising. I want to firm up SB's/BB's ranges if they stay in the pot, and if my raise isn't too big (maybe to $72) I often milk UTG's AJ/AT or at least charge his draw. Seems silly for him to be trying to bait you into a raise when it's 4 way with his position... if you're going to bet he might be able to chk/r your larger bet than $28 and potentially have the SB/BB call your bet first, and if you check behind the SB/BB may open the turn allowing him to raise then. |
