I think everyone knows they will win 55-60 games this year. They have the best bench and an excellent coach. It will be intersting to see how they do in the playoffs. They had the title locked up last year about to go up 3-0 and then just kind of fizzled out.

tdarko---

the mavs didnt get worse. ager should replace daniels just fine.

however---the suns improved, duncan might actually be healthy this year, and the heat are still a better team.

not to mention, a team like the clippers are just as good as the mavs on paper, and this is their second year of being a good NBA team = more experience.

also...your argument about their depth is why they are so good in the regular season. depth isnt as important in the playoffs though.

[/ QUOTE ] I absolutely refuse to believe this.

[/ QUOTE ] Actually depth is huge now thats its best of 7 series. Plus when you consider to win the title, you have to play around 100 games, depth becomes even bigger.

TD you know I'm onboard. I was encouraged by the game tonight. We didn't get much run from the main guys during preseason. Tonight they led the Spurs most of the way...completely fizzled out in the 4th quarter but despite the final score it was still a game that hinged on one possession going the other way in the second-to-last minute of the game.

Would've loved to get the first one but, as I could hear Caliendo Madden opining, "sometimes when two good teams play each other, somebody loses."

Anyway, just wanted to announce my presence in this thread.
