Don't get me wrong by what I posted. I'd love to see this happen because I'm a fan of both online players and live players.

But the problem that I see is that the live players are so used to playing on TV that they would be relaxed and ready to go into 'gamble' mode with the online players, who would be a little uptight given the circumstance. For example Galfond wrote that he loved the game and felt it was a great game to be in (which I'm sure it was for him) but it was still pretty visible that he was somewhat nervous...I don't think he was nervous due to the competition but just due to the fact that he was about to be shown on hsp, which is natural for anyone getting on that type of setting for the first time.

From what I've seen from (my very limited) viewing of townsend and then...phil g (galfond?) on high stakes poker is that they are pretty boring for tv viewing. this has nothing to do with their poker ability but (this is my personal opinion, I'm not saying it's fact) it seems like they are so worried about making the wrong play (like the hands with QQ by Galfond) that they are willing to fold for the minimum loss, which makes for boring tv but good poker.

although in retrospect I just thought about sbrugby's play against ivey's KK and that was brilliant so maybe i'm just a moron (99% chance i am).

my two cents.

and believe me, i'd love to see this happen.

Everyone interested in this should find a way to contact Poker After Dark or at least Ali to try to make it happen.

Who should represent the Internet crowd? Throw Antonius out because he has been on TV so much, he is just as much a live player as online.

Brian Townsend is pretty obvious. He has been on TV a few times, but never on WPT or WSOP final table. (Well, he was on for a minute in New Orleans, right?) He has been regarded as the king of online nosebleed hold 'em.

KRANTZ (What is his name? Jay something?) is the biggest winner on Full Tilt this year.

Everyone seems to respect Durrrr's play as some of the best and most creative.

If we want all complete unknowns (to TV watchers), substitute CTS or someone for Townsend.

So:
Townsend
KRANTZ
Durrrr

vs.

Ivey
Greenstein
Brunson
(or Antonius)

1. Townsend
2. Durr
3. lilholdem

I would think lilholdem would have the best chance to win because he's a tourny player, while Durr and Sbrugby are cash game players.
