Default NL50 - 4bet light with 89

I really can't remember 4-betting light in...forever, and this seemed like a decent situation to do it. Villain running at 28/24/9 over about 100 hands with Att. to steal at 37 so he obviously understands position and 3-betting light is very possible with him.
What do you guys think of this, right villain to target? Is my bet sizing too small?
I was running at 20/17/7.5 at this table for what it's worth

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($50)
SB ($36)
BB ($62.75)
Hero ($106.05)
MP ($29.20)
CO ($50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $6.5</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $16</font>

Fine. Actually its pretty much ideal conditions for this move. It could only get better if he was OTB and you ran nittier.

this is prob ok id like it more if you were not UTG but this is pretty image dependent if you raise UTG with a wide range this is obv good.

Really? I thought UTG would make this even better because if I'm UTG and 4-bet, it's way more likely I'm going to have a hand, rather than 4-betting from the CO

As a whole I dont like raising sc's UTG it just gets you in trouble. However, this is a great spot to 4 bet light IMO. Youre repping a premium hand here and you can obviously muck pretty quickly if he pushes.

if he is any good though he is knows your UTG raising range is more narrow so he is less likely to 3 bet you with a crap hand. but I dont know your stats but it if yourt pfr% is highish than this play is fine.

As long is this is your raise size with AA or KK or AK then its fine most of the time. Don't make it a flavor of the week habit like a few months ago when someone talked about squeezing and everyone did it wrong until they forgot.
