Default How to review a HH?

This may sound like a total noob question (well it is). But how do you go about reviewing hand histories? I know its a simple concept, but any helpful tips or tricks would be nice.

thanks,

before poker office, i used to use this one: http://www.tightpoker.com/replayer.html

it is my understanding though, that it has trouble with hard drive HH - email works though i think.

if you're on poker stars, you can convert either HD or emailed HH here first: http://www.tightpoker.com/replayer/pokerstars.html

Since there arent many replies, I will try to help you out a bit.

The goal of reviewing a HH is to find out where you might have leaks in your game, and then try to fix some of the bad things you notice yourself doing, in your next game.

So, select a HH, open it up in a text editor, and go through each hand and ask your self:

- Did I play this hand right?
- Is there anything I could have done to play it better?
- If I make this same move in 10 million SNGs, will I see a profit? (Is it +EV)
- Whenever you see someone push, put them on a range of holdings, and then put yourself in every players shoes that is yet to act, and ask yourself what range of hands you would call with.

That's a start. Basically the idea is to spot things you might be doing wrong, but to also THINK about each hand, and try to LEARN something from it.

GL Bro.

Pokertracker has a replayer. The replayer on tightpoker.com didn't show showdown results last time I used it with an emailed hand history. It said ver. 2.0 is in the works that will fix the problems.

Someone wrote a good post not too long ago about their process for reviewing hand histories in pokertracker, but I can't come up with who it was. Anyone remember?
