Default iTunes Question

Can I set it up so that it automatically imports any new songs I've downloaded since the last time I ran it? I'm tired of having to import my entire library everty time I get a new song.

If you have a folder of music you want routinely updated, why don't you just manually import the newest songs (sort by date)?

P.S. If you phrase questions so it's clear that you're stealing music, the thread has to be locked or deleted. Just a heads-up.

Fair enough.

When I click 'arrange icons by' in my music folder, the option of date doesn't come up, only options like duration, artist, album etc.

In that window go to View>Choose Details and pick whatever you want. Another option is that your music folder prolly has been set as that type of folder which includes stuff like album instead of other details. You can change it to a regular folder format by right clicking the folder and going to Properties>Customize.

When I choose "add folder to library," it only adds the songs or folders in that folder that are new. It does not redo previously loaded songs. Though lately it seems to be processing artwork multiple times. But it never used to, and it only does a portion of the songs in the folder, so I assume it's a bug.

That being said, I don't know why they haven't added a "watch list" to scan at startup so you don't have to manually do this.

Well, I'll probly get ripped into for this but whatever, I usually use Windows Media Player, and that picks them up right away without me doing anything. I just thought it was weird that the supposedly superior media player (itunes) didn't do the same.

Winamp is far superior to WMP, in most people's opinion. And you can definitely set folders for winamp to check upon startup.
