My favorite things to claim at the table:

Small cards are better... (this can be followed with a detailed discussion of dead card odds, related to people playing mostly high cards, if the person next to me is the 2+2 type)

I'm good at making straights.

Have to be in it to win it!

I had two flush draws. (in holdem.)

"I was a favorite." if somebody complains that I sucked out. (this can also be followed by a mutant discussion of odds... like "i had a club and a heart, so that's two flush draws, plus my pair outs, I had 24 outs, so I was a big favorite.)
