Looking at this hand tho got me to thinking ...

3 handed is KTs the TOP of his range? - I'd hate to 3bet KTs at a standard 6max table cos often if I get called some moran has AK KQ KJ sometimes. Vs a TAG tho how loose do you tend to get with 3bets when it gets very shorthanded?

Depends on the other people at the table of course. If btn is somewhat competent, I'll 3bet the lot out of him. I mean I might even think KTs is too good here and might call. 3bet total garbage instead, like T3o. If he adjusts, I'll change tables. Really depends on the villains.

But in this spot, if I have grounds to believe he is 3betting light, I am likely to shove AQs. Calling with broadways is totally fine too if villain is appropriately aggressive for a 3handed game cos you have to be ahead of his range and there is nothing more annoying for a light 3bettor than a call from position. In fact I will start call/shoving flop a lot of hands.

I think they absolute key in 3 handed game is position. If you opponent is solid no amount of "outplay" can negate this factor. Honestly, I'll just leave the table instantly if I feel pressured from my left.

ps When I said top of the range I mean top of the flop range.

Fold preflop, and dont bet the flop if you arent calling. You've either turned your hand into a bluff or not so your decision is easy, really. You should decide before you bet whether or not you are bluffing.

Also KTs is a terrible hand to be 3betting from the blinds, its exactly in the middle of your range value wise, so you can't help but get stuck OOP on the flop. I'd rather have K5o here than KTs

Just read that you were Villain, I think you played fine but bear in mind that its not terrible to fold preflop.

I was just about to say how much I hate 3 betting KT from villains perspective. It just gets you in so much trouble here, I would so happily 3 bet a suited connector over KT.

Almost compulsory, too much of a hand to give up to a 68o steal.
