Re: sam adam\'s summer ale
[ QUOTE ]
Sam Summer is very good. My favorite beer of the summer so far, however, is Saranac Pomegranate Wheat. It's got enough hint of pomegranate to be delicious, but it mostly tastes like a beer, so you can still feel like a man. I'm not sure where exactly Saranac is sold though, other than upstate NY. [/ QUOTE ] You can get Sarnac at Safeway pretty much anywhere these days...I've seen it in DC and also Arizona (I think). Never tried their Summer Pom but their other stuff is good. Also Sam Summer is the bomb, I really like all their seasonals except for maybe Ocktoberfest, which is just so so. Also addressing Yuengling, it is brewed in PA and is basically just another regular domestic beer (oldest brewery in the States I think) although it tastes MUCH better than others of its caliber. However, lots of places charge for it as if it were actually a microbrew...it's really cheap if you just pick it up at the liquorstore, place near me has it for 7.99 for a 12er. |
