Party Buddy List Messages - Why are mine blank

You know those table invites that you can send to people on your buddy list and how people use them to chat?

Mine are always blank. I feel bad that people may be trying to get in contact we me, but I never see their messages. I get a few of these almost every day, so that's a lot of messages I'm missing.

I used to get these occasionally from other good regulars in the game with messages concerning super fish / maniacs at the table. Either making fun of them, or congratulating one another for busting them, etc. Worked well for a private word that the table couldn't hear.

Obviously I don't think there was any kind of collusion threat here, as I'm sure party could monitor these messages - when they were allowed.

I message my buddy, he sees my messages, but I cant see his that he sends back.

No idea whats going on either.

I have never gotten anything.

Perhaps it is because I use the "hide me from search" feature?
