Default FTP structure and Snyder\'s skill level

Ok, I just ran a quick calculation on the 9/18/45 SNGs and the 90 SNG as well as the turbos (5 minute and 3 minute blindlevels) and came up with a patience factor of:
9/18/45: 13.6 [Skill level 6]
90: 54.4 [Skill level 6]
Turbo 5 minute BL: 9.86 [Skill level 5]
Turbo 3 minute BL: 6.62 [Skill level 4]

There might be some inaccuracies due to rounding. I can also not gurantee that I didn't make any mistakes because as I said, it was quick [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I used his table according to which you take the blinds 7.5x per hour in the turbo, 6x in the 9/18/45er and 3.5x in the 90er (rounded down from 3.53) and adjusted to 9 handed by substracting 5% from the patience factor in the end.

I must say I'm somewhat surprised that even the 3 minute turbos are fairly slow.

It's a way to measure the speed of a tournament explained in Snyder's book.
Basically, you look how long it takes for someone who doesn't play any hand to blind out. Then you square that and there are some other minot adjustments.

I found Snyder's formula to be quite innaccurate for online MTTs that have few runners.

In fact, in the back pages he admits that with smaller MTTs, he system isn't that accurate.

Also, make sure you use the online adjustments. That adjusts for you playing more hands per round and more rounds/hour.
