Default Canadians that had taxes withheld on the WPT C/P

What tax recovery service did you use and how much was it? I recently won a decent chunk of change in a poker tournament in Vegas and had 30% withheld. I cashed for a little over 10k and they took a little over 3k.

Why not do it yourself?

Apply for a taxpayer id number with the IRS and then file a tax return in the US.

Some services charge $100 for the id number and then 40% of the tax recovered. You can do it yourself for a couple bucks and a few hours of your time.

Sounds good. I'll look into that. I got a number for a service that charges a flat $250 fee.
