over the last decade Michigan and Texas are #1 and 2 in average end-of-season poll rankings. It's possible Carr and Brown had something to do with that.

Do you have a link for that? I'm at least a little skeptical that Texas is #2 over the last decade...not saying you're wrong, but I certainly wouldn't have guessed they were that high.

no, it's from a spreadsheet i did a while back. I gave a team 25 points for a first place ranking, 24 for second, down to 1 point for 25th place. Final totals looked like this:

Michigan Total 148
Texas Total 144
Florida Total 137
Florida St. Total 137
Ohio St. Total 137
Miami (FL) Total 135
Oklahoma Total 131
Georgia Total 128
Southern California Total 118
Louisiana St. Total 113

i don't think i made any mistakes but it's certainly possible. Texas finshed ranked in 9 of the last 10 years at 15, 21, 12, 5, 6, 12, 5, 1, and 13.
