Re: Is there a worse 3-0 team in America than Texas?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I think it's only a matter of time before he's Lloyd Carr II though. [/ QUOTE ] over the last decade Michigan and Texas are #1 and 2 in average end-of-season poll rankings. It's possible Carr and Brown had something to do with that. [/ QUOTE ] Do you have a link for that? I'm at least a little skeptical that Texas is #2 over the last decade...not saying you're wrong, but I certainly wouldn't have guessed they were that high. [/ QUOTE ] no, it's from a spreadsheet i did a while back. I gave a team 25 points for a first place ranking, 24 for second, down to 1 point for 25th place. Final totals looked like this: Michigan Total 148 Texas Total 144 Florida Total 137 Florida St. Total 137 Ohio St. Total 137 Miami (FL) Total 135 Oklahoma Total 131 Georgia Total 128 Southern California Total 118 Louisiana St. Total 113 i don't think i made any mistakes but it's certainly possible. Texas finshed ranked in 9 of the last 10 years at 15, 21, 12, 5, 6, 12, 5, 1, and 13. |
