I'm backed live and online by Sheets/Bax currently, which I obviously have no problem telling anyone. In my experience with them they have gone way out of their way to be completely ethical at all times.

As I told David privately, I obviously share his outrage over all this crap, but I don't think that lumping together backing in general, which is a long-standing practice in poker and has nothing inherently unethical about it, with the clearly unethical practices that are apparently running rampant and are a serious threat to online poker's longevity and legitimacy.

while names would be interesting, I would be more interested in the # of players backed at the 109+ level by various backers. I find out about a new player everyday it seems for bax/sheets, and I have no idea about the #s from the younger group of backers. I back 5 guys at that level and they are obv free to let anyone know

its sick how much of the field in 109r's is backed by the same people... I was once at a fuper table that had 4 bax horses, plus bax. i have to admit i felt uncomfortable at the table even though everyone told me i was crazy

Do players get backed at the low levels? I know it would't take much of an investment to back someone for 4/180's.

I have a hard time imagining somebody being +EV enough to make staking at $4/180 worth the effort, and then not being able to buy-in on their own ... ????
