Final flight of the F-14 Tomcat today
x-post from OOT:
Today marks the last flight of the F-14 Tomcat. I'll write more later if anyone has questions, but for more info and stream to watch the event, check out www.wvec.com . The event kicks off at 8 with the aircraft taking off at 10 (EAstern time). |

Re: Final flight of the F-14 Tomcat today
Is it being replaced by the F-22 or just taken out without replacement?

Re: Final flight of the F-14 Tomcat today
FA-18 = short term
JSF = long term Thats the general idea anyhow. After they finish phasing in the EA-18G, the follow on platform for my airplane, we will have an all Hornet/Super Hornet Naval Air Force. JSF is expected to eventually replace all those. F-22 is the Air Force baby. |
