Default Perfect MCAT score?

A crazy job application just came across my desk at work, so I just wanted to do a quick check on something.

The job the canidate is applying for is simply a senior web software development position, as a contractor. Among his many crazy claims (such as that he wrote most of the "viral marketing" software for myspace.com) he states on his resume that he has achieved a perfect MCAT score. How likely is this?

LOL.

Getting a perfect MCAT score is nearly impossible. They guy is likely full of [censored].

You should still give him an interview, let the BS flow, laugh about it, then post a TR.

It would be about 1000x as hard as getting a 1600 on the SAT

Ask what score he got on the writing section. If he gives you any number, you know he's FOS. The writing is scored in letters from J (low) to T (high), for reasons I have never even tried to understand.

"Each essay is graded from 1 to 6 points by each of two readers, yielding a total score of 4-24; this score is then converted to a letter scale (4 = J, 24 = T)."

So he could say a 24, and he would be right.

He claims to have a triple major in Biochem, Physics and Business Admin from a very good small college in NYC. Also says that he won the top student award in his first year of med school at different but also very good med school in NYC (no mention of graduating med school).

There is also mention on his resume that he wrote the original implimentation of a certain type of VoIP, but that part is a little non-specific.

I can't wait to meet this guy.

The MCAT has four sections. If I recall correctly, it is something like top 3% in any section to get the best score. (I took the test in the mid-1990s on paper, some of this may have changed.)

Some of the gunners might be getting perfect scores on both the science sections. Some of the nontraditional applicants could get perfect scores on the other two. It is going to be tough to find someone to get them on both.

From a friendly wager with a member of the admissions committee at my school (and likely to be an abuse of his position), I know that in one particular year there were no applicants with perfect scores on more than two of the four sections.
