Default 10 10 UTG facing button raise in PS 50/50

Just moved to the table so no reads. I raise here with 10 10 from early position and the button 3 bets. I discount AA or KK because of the bet size but I do feel like this is JJ or QQ often. How often are we racing here? If you play it are you calling or shoving?

just fold, you are raising UTG so people dont reraise you really light like QQ+ plus he has a ton of chips. if he has like 2500 or less a call is okay but not here.

Question here is how often is this AK? And how much can u really discount AA or KK here? You only have 40% equity against a range of QQ;JJ;AKs;AKo, so shoving isn't good here. The probs with calling are (1) you don't have the implied odds here to call for set value, even if u knew he had QQ-AA and (2) on the flop he's shoving his entire range (including AK) if you check it to him...so you'll have to open-shove any non A or K flop without any more info on his holding.

Sucks...but i think i let this one go pre, rather than risk 1/2 my stack.

I agree. This was my logic and I folded.

Yeah even if you are putting villian on JJ+,AK you are here

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 33.654% 33.45% 00.20% 22911950 138060.00 { TdTh }
Hand 1: 66.346% 66.14% 00.20% 45304090 138060.00 { JJ+, AKs, AKo }

Assuming we would be putting him in and he's not folding. We would need something like 45%+ (with his stack) to do it I think. Folding sucks but it's correct.

JJ and TT from early position are always difficult hands preflop.

i usually limp the TT and mine for a set, but raise JJ - dependent on the table of course.

after the 3-bet i agree with folding.

another point to discuss:
what would you do with JJ?

I think a stop-and-go would be better than a shove, but folding is better than both.

weep. I hate JJ and don't know how to play it well. But thanks for asking because I do need to think about it to get better.

Ok, so if we have JJ I am guessing that we put 10 10 in his range now? Let me do the math.

With 10 10 in his range:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.229% 41.86% 01.37% 176310408 5780460.00 { JJ }
Hand 1: 56.771% 55.40% 01.37% 233355456 5780460.00 { TT+, AKs, AKo }

It's costing me 5425 to win a pot that would now be 11975. That is 45%. It is close but it looks like a fold.

Without 10 10 in his range
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 36.585% 35.01% 01.57% 125907060 5645496.00 { JJ }
Hand 1: 63.415% 61.85% 01.57% 222385788 5645496.00 { JJ+, AKs, AKo }

Obvious fold. Is 10 10 in his range? Are my ranges completely off?
