Habitat for Humanity

I volunteered with Habitat a few times, overall it was a pretty fun and rewarding experience. One time it was just me and the superviser cleaning up stuff since the house was pretty much finished. Usually it's a big group working on a house with several supervisers, either building it from scratch, or (more commonly, in my experience) refurbishing it.

There was a bit of a religious vibe, and often times churches sent groups to voluteer. It is a (non-denominational) Christian organization after all. Sometimes there was group prayer in the morning, but there was nothing that bothered me as a non-religious person. I doubt it would be a big deal to opt out of a prayer if you felt uncomfortable, though probably it would be a little awkward.
