Default $16 turbo DS to $650...BB w/JJ vs maybe 2 AI

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com

2nd Dude (t1800)
MP2 (t755)
3rd Dude (t470)
CO (t1090)
Button (t2590)
SB (t2950)
Hero (t1975)
1st Dude (t1445)
UTG+1 (t1925)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, 1st Dude calls t100, <font color="#CC3333">2nd Dude raises to t600</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, 3rd Dude calls t470 (All-In), <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero ???

1st dude: TAG...I don't think is calling.

2nd dude: Is obv never folding...maybe a bit weak.

3rd dude: Might be beating me but however if I'm beating the 2nd dude is it worth a push?

my bad....1st table.

Edited: Although now that I think about it how would this differ if it was the second table w/5 spots paying out like this:

1st = $650 seat
2nd - 4th = $72
5th = $54

right here in this situation it probably doesn't make that much difference. Although it probably does give an indication to the quality of the competition at this point. I would think that you're more likely to see the Moneymaker wannabes at the first table with natural selection taking care of most of them and the competition being a bit better at the second table.

I don't think shoving to isolate is correct (based in part on your assessment of 2nd dude probably not folding). It's too early in the tourney to coin flip for most of your stack.

Calling...not sure. You're out of position (which sucks) and have built a pot where there is a tough call to be made if an over card hits and he puts pressure on. I think it would really depend on what kind of range you put 2nd Dude on and how well you play (can you risk 600, fold and still be ok to take it down later?)

Folding might be weak-tight, but it does keep you from playing a pot OOP with a vulnerable hand.

I'd like to think I'd fold and find a better spot, but I'd probably be shoving in this spot and losing to QQ or A6o.

I'm shoving, you're really likely to be ahead of 2nd dudes range, and probably even more likely to be ahead of shorty's range. You can't be too paranoid about the limp, just hope you can dodge 6~ outs.

After thinking about it some more I have no doubt that 2nd Dude is going w/ his hand...because of his 6x bet...so maybe calling and shoving any flop could have some merit to get 2nd dude to fold...but if I'm beating him now I think shoving PF is the best way to get his chips.

The way I'm thinking about it is if I'm shoving w/ QQ in this spot I should be shoving JJ as well (1010 might be a fold) since that type of bet usually = AQ+, AQs+, 66-1010 maybe JJ, QQ.

3rd Dude = whatever...if you got AA good for you I just have to beat the 2nd dude and I pick up about another 1K in chips.

Which is why I shoved...too bad for 1st dude cause he pushed w/ KK and I spiked a Jack on the turn

txs guys.
