Default 38o BB Special River Decision

Interesting little hand. In my hand review I was advised to c/f this. I was interested in what folks think here. Value bet - check through?

No reads on the player, but it was a pretty passive loose table.

2. EZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ river bet.
3. Bet the flop
4. Find someone else to review hands.

#1 is debatable.

Don't go here with #4, though. Remember hand reviews are a two way street with comments and counter comments. Both sides learn and I personally don't mind green reviewers in the hand swaps. This is not in the proper spirit.

In poker, there are very few statements that are 100% true and apply in 100% of situations. #1 is one of them.

I am partly joking. I am most always right. And I'm fully a jackass.

every time i read posts like this i have to read them 3 times. The first time I tell myself I read something wrong. The 2nd time I tell myself to start going to bed before 3am on work-nights. And the last time I realize I'm not going crazy.

Also you have 38 suited not 38o, maybe OP is misreadin everything or trying to 2nd level SSSH?

Meh. Typo - meant 3.

I posted this because the advice (which was otherwise good) really had me confused on this hand. I thought I was completly missing something.

He probably meant bet/fold. Check/fold makes no sense, you are last to act. Bet/fold is reasonable here.
