As played, I think you have to call - but I think I'd rather 3-bet the flop re-evaluate if 4-bet. No reads?

I'd prob felt it on the flop given it's button vs SB.

I would have re-raised flop. Other than a set, we have to be ahead here. If he has a set at flop, he's going to get all your money most likely anyway and you cant do a whole lot about that.

With no other info about the villian I usually 3 bet the flop. Do you usually just flat call the check raise?

I usually 3 bet and stack off, you could be behind, but often you will see some idiot with 99, TT, JJ, maybe A8. I think the only reason to flat call the flop if is you think he could be pure bluffing and you want to induce a turn bluff, and then push on turn. Usually Im looking to get it all in w AA on a board like this.

I repop to about $12 on the flop. The hand plays differently after that.

As played, I let it go on this river bet. Rarely will a 25NL villain bet over $15 as a bluff.

I didn't three-bet the flop because I'm bad at poker. I also wanted him to bet again, since no draws were particularly scary. I planned to call him down the whole way, but I wasn't sure I was right to think I was likely ahead.

Results? He had T9o. I'll save you the scroll and tell you it doesn't match anything on the board.

Uh, no, I felt bad calling the whole way. I'm not results-oriented. Are only losing hands supposed to be posted here? I thought the goal was to improve, and I probably have more to learn from my winners, as it's easier for me to analyze my own losers. I'd much rather be told that I was an idiot and got lucky than go on thinking I played masterfully and deserved the pot.

Interesting hand. Did you have any stats on villain? If a tight player calls you preflop and check raises you on that board it's a set 104% of the time.

Against a looser player or just a general donk the flop is definitely a 3-bet.
