20k FT hand... wtf to do
Hero was loose, but has tightened up since the final 2 tables
Hero is CO with AKo and 650k (im average in chips) Villian is Button with 1.4 mil (next person has 1.1mil). I saw him call a PFR earlier in the FT with KTs blinds are 20k/40k folded to me, I raise to 120k (normal raise), villian calls flop comes Q66r villian leads out 40k, hero raises to 200k, villian thinks for a bit and caalls turn comes 9 villian check, hero ?? (650k in pot, hero is 325-350k behind) |

Re: 20k FT hand... wtf to do
I think this is a pretty standard check-behind. He's only calling if he has you beat. Sure he called preflop with K-10 earlier, but a preflop call is much different than a post-flop call. He's not going to put his chips in here with any hand you are ahead in my opinion.
I'd check behind a non-Ace or King river as well. Brad |

Check. If he has a piece he's getting 3:1, he's going to call. You need to spike an A or K and your hand will be good. Applying pressure here is spewing.

Re: 20k FT hand... wtf to do
Does anyone push the flop? Paired boards miss far more than they hit and there is ~300K after villian's bet. A nice pot to take down. Otherwise, I might call the c-bet on the flop and fold UI to a turn bet.

Re: 20k FT hand... wtf to do
so you think i should just call this min-bet here? I was really confused as to what I should do. I was thinking of shoving, but I thought he would think it was a bluff and call me with any pocket pair (I figured when it took him that long to call that he either had QJ or pp)

Beachman,
I don't think villain is going to fold any PP > 66 if played per your recc. What hands can hero realistically have that villain will be blown off, in this fashion? |

Re: 20k FT hand... wtf to do
I'd prefer to have 10bb and forfeit the hand. This would leave me in good position to steal blinds later.
