So right about here I need to commit or quit...looks like quit, right?

Where did I go wrong? Should I have checked the turn for pot control?

I have to admit how I play this hand varies quite a bit depending on my opponent.

I quite often check the turn for pot control simply because my kicker isn't so hot. (the flush draw sometimes motivates a 'bet for protection' but, that requires you to be protecting the better hand... in this case, my hand isn't so strong. I may not be protecting much of anything here)

I quite often check the turn.

As played- you're behind more ace combinations then you're ahead of. If I think the player is particularly dumb and/or apt to be full of crap, I may call and check/call river. If he's done this more with 2 pair or better, then I may fold.
