Default 5/10 Live KK Showdown-phobia

5/10. 9 Players. Table is Loose-passive. Calling stations everywhere. Flops come 4-6 handed.

Villain is a loose-passive old lady who has no imagination. Straightforward.

2 limpers. Villain limps in CO.
Hero looks down at black Kings in SB and raises. All call.

Flop QQ7r
Hero bets, 2 calls, Villain raises, Hero 3 bets, 2 folds, Villain caps, Hero folds.

I believe this line is acceptable but was wondering if there's any more efficient way for me to make more while I'm ahead/fold earlier when I'm behind.

getting 17:1, you'd have to get 4+ big bets out of him on the later streets. personally i'd play it how you did.

We're getting 18:1, and with the bet size doubling on the next round we only need to extract 3 more bets out of him if we hit the turn. I think that's near-certain, but I'm out if the turn isn't a K.

hero has like a 4.2% or so to improve on the turn. I still think it's slightly -EV, slightly, after taking rake into account.

Rake does factor in for a live game, true, as does the tip since we obviously need to pay off the dealer if we get our 2-outer. So you may indeed be right.

I already know the odds. Is this standard? As in the 3bet?

I have the result, but that should come later because I don't like being results oriented. That said, at the time of this play, I think I could have said with 99% confidence that she had a Q or 77 here.
