Re: Double gutter in reraised pot
I don't mind taking the free card on the flop against someone with a tight calling range of a 3-bet. If they call 3-bets often, then I like this, although I'd bet more on the flop.

[/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] disagree, if you bet the flop you are pretty much committed to betting the turn unless villain doesn't peel the flop with anything light at all. I think a flop check is ok as you can still double barrel whether you hit or miss. I probably play it the same as Jay here a lot of the time but with the turn bet being a shove, or betting more on the flop to shove turn. |

Re: Double gutter in reraised pot
He is extremely nitty, like 15/7, I hate preflop for that reason. I don't think the double barrel is bad though as played.

I don't like playing semi-big draws like this slowly on the turn. I prefer to check turns with like 1 pair, or really big draws/nut draws where I don't want to face a c/r with great equity and can stack someone or pick off a river bluff. |

Re: Double gutter in reraised pot
If you are going to bet-callin the turn, I'd say just open-push yourself.

Re: Double gutter in reraised pot
Ok... for starters, 3-betting a super nit OOP with weak holdings is terrible.
Second, I check behind on the flop for sure against a 15/7. We cannot make them fold to a flop bet and infinite implied odds are sexy. |
