Everyone I've talked to about this album has said they love it. Right now I feel like it's just a bad band imitating Radiohead, but I'm hoping that's just cause their music takes some time to digest.

Yeah, I can see that. Give it a few listens and it becomes something of amazing proportions.

Radiohead's sudden willingness to embrace their capacity for uncomplicated beauty might be In Rainbows' most distinguishing quality, and one of the primary reasons it's an improvement on Hail to the Thief.

It definitely improves some with repeated listens.

On a side note - I haven't been living under a rock for the last decade[- how is it possible I've heard only a few songs by this band?

[/ QUOTE ]

fyp ... i mean i can understand people who aren't that into them, but i can't see being a fan of music and not at least hearing their stuff.

[/ QUOTE ]

I dunno....a lot of people who only listen to country or hip hop or classical stations/albums probably still consider themselves "fans of music".

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously - I just never got around to listening to them. It's a huge mystery to me. I have a huge collection of alternative and electronica and just about everything else. I bet Phil Ivey's net worth my collection is more "hip" than yours. Go figure. Well, at least I'll have a decent band to "discover" as we all know the state of new music these days

OMG I don't know how I didn't like this album the first few times I listened to it. Faust Art is amazing.
