Default Re: Can I win $30/hour playing 25NL?

My winrate at $10 NL over the last 2866 hands is 28.66 PTBB/100 hands. This is one and two tabling.

My winrate at $25 NL/PL full ring over the last 2273 hands is 31.79 PTBB per 100 hands. At six max over the same time period I'm at well under 10 PTBB per 100 but I'm pretty sure my 6 max game needs a lot more work than my full ring game.

I haven't played more than two tables at once and I'm pretty sure that my winrate would plummet if I were playing very many more than 2 at once.

I doubt that I can sustain the rate I'm winning now but I really don't see why I can't stay above 10 PTBB/100 hands. I wouldn't be surprised if top players couldn't win at 25NL for $30 an hour if they devoted themselves to $25 NL for some reason.

This thread really needs someone to do the math.

Assuming 65 hands per hour.

At $25NL, 1PTBB=$.50.

In order to make $30/hr you need to run 60PTBB/hr.

That's 92.3PTBB/100.

So if you are single tabling, in order to make $30/hr (not including rakeback/bonuses) you need to run 92.3PTBB/100.

If you play 10 tables, you need to run 9.23PTBB/100.

If you play 20 tables, you need to run 4.62PTBB/100.

assuming 60 hands per hour which i think is more realistic.

running at 10bb/100, thats 6bbPT per hour=$1.50 per table

30/1.5= 20 tables

i suggest not making this your aim as you this seems a bit to stressful to me. All the beep, beep etc would possibly cause me to give poker up :P maybe you should just settle for min wage until you move up and play like 7-8 tables. you must also remember that if you play 20 tables this will=more variance, more table selection time and lots of overlay unless you have a huge monitor

Maybe, for Stars regular tables. However OP didn't mention where he is playing. Fast tables at Stars will give you 70+ and most other sites are faster than Stars.

You shouldn't use results at 10nl to gauge your skill level.
A chimpanzee in a coma could crush 10nl.

Yeah that's true - but I wouldn't believe it until he had 50k hands obv.

How would the chimp do at 25NL?

Pretty good

So ten tables you can get $30 per hour. If you have discipline.

Since Full Tilts upgrade, I have been running at about 65 hands per table hour.

Stop the hating, I would say u need atleast 6 tables to get that winrate out of 25nl. My suggestion is that u start practising playing more and more tables at the same time, it isn't too hard to play 6 at a time, and I would also suggest to buy some hardware if u dont have proper gear, 19" monitor atleast and a fast mouse/mousepad. Some of the new mice on the market like the laser and those can be pretty bad for multitabling if u have to move the mouse fast. (just my experience).

I Used to be a progamer and I can play 15 fr tables at once if I have to and I would recommend old microsoft optical mouse.
like Microsoft intellimouse 3.0 or optical 1.1

Do you have any problems with tendonitis, carpal tunnel, joint stiffness, or numbness/tingling ?

What is your setup like ? Chair, keyboard tray, wrist rest, ergo keyboard (what kind?), etc.

How old are you and how long have you been doing intense mousing many hrs/day ?

Sorry for all the questions but I am very interested in your answers.

This thread is funny, how is there even still discussion about this? It just wont happen unless you're cranking out tons of tables.
