Forgot to mention that Phil Gordon threatened to give Humberto Brenes a 30 minute penalty for taunting players with his electronic shark.

After reading this I kind of like PG.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd like him if he'd called Humberto a classless POS, but going all "hall monitor" on him only makes Gordon look like the vagina he is. "Hey pal, I'm on the rules committee! I'm giving out penalties now!"

Phil Gordon Playing Through Pain

Phil Gordon had a nasty spill and the result was a torn meniscus. He was reading his Blackberry and fell down a flight of stairs. He's in pain and will wait until after the WSOP ends to have surgery.

This is funny, but I don't wish harm on him.

I actually listen to his podcasts. They were pretty good two years ago, and I told him so when I bumped into him at WSOP ME. He just brushed me off, and said, "yeah."

He talked about the Ed Moncada call down on this year's podcasts. He was actually in good shape and was stunned Moncada called him down. He felt equally stupid, and incredulous that Moncada could make those calls. I notice he bounced out of a tournament after that again being called down on bluffs on every street by another relatively weak holding. He talks about running over the table with his aggression on his podcasts--I guess he should expect to get called down by observant opponents.

lol at phil getting on monkey tilt from table going slow at money bubble...from pokernews

Table 2 Gets Testy
The slow pace of play at table 2 is causing quite the commotion. "Every decision is taking two minutes. We've seen three hands since the break," Phil Gordon said. A floor person has asked the table to calm down.

minutes later...

Phil Gordon Eliminated
Phil Gordon made it 5,300 to go on the button, preflop, and was called by Ed Moncada int the big blind.

Flop:

Moncada checked to Phil, who bet 6,000 and Moncada called. The turn was the and again Moncada checked to Phil, who bet 6,000. Moncada called and the river brought the . Phil moved all-in after Moncada checked and Moncada called. Moncada showed , which was apparently good enough as Phil said, "That's the sickest call I've ever seen," and mucked.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's like a poker version of the spot-the-ball competition.

[/ QUOTE ]

If I recall, Moncada called down with something like A8 on a K8xxx board. Phil may or may not have been semi-bluffing. Phil complained/observer afterwards that Ed could only beat a bluff on three streets, but... "great call, I guess."
