Default I fold an overpair to a turn c/r HU

villian is 20/20/1.67 only after a couple of hands. my usual play is to just call down and get shown a better pocket pair. fold or call down?

no way, this is an absolute call down HU, people that are pretty strong players know they can steal here alot. We have to look it up to keep him honest

foldings fine

if this guy never has 77 when he caps pf then raising flop isnt good

Easy fold against a true 20/20. If it happens some more times it is time to call him down.

this is why you don't raise the flop.

If you don't konw how to respond to a turn c/r, then call flop, call turn, and call the river.

I completely agree.

Taking this line against a player you dont have a lot of hands on is terrible IMO. Just get your ass to SD. Dont bloat the pot and fold unless you have a good read.

Sure. If it turns out he is an ABC TAG you prolly made the right decision to fold. But if he is an ABC TAG you prolly dont have a flop raise for value.

In any case you misplayed this hand IMO.

yeah 100% don't raise the flop. When you do you tend to lose action from the part of his range you beat (77-TT, AK and AQs) and just end up in bad spots against the range that is crushing you (66, 99, QQ-AA).

just call down and bet if checked to.
