AK, top two on river vs 3bet crapfest

At the time this hand happened, I was at the table for 2 orbits and didn't notice anything. Should this have just been a call down vs the turn 3 bet with no reads? With that river, what do you do as played? I know the river is a certain fold, but I called it anyway. dumb

if QQ is in his range along with all aces up hands you are only a 2-1 favorite on the river so it's a marginal raise if you can't fold to a 3bet. but, not everyone can pull off that turn 3bet with just A6 with AQ/A8/QQ/AA staring them in the face, so I'd probably discount aces up a bit and lean towards just calling the river but it's close.

but yeah no way he expects a fold on the river, that is a set like always. if you fold I'd probably leave the table though [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

After all that action call on the river and hope he doesnt have a set, don't reraise because the result would usually be how it turned out. Just flat call and see what he is holding.
