I think it's really close (since MP may bet 88 now that it's been checked to him). I guess I probably call, but I'm not happy.

could you go into your thinking when making this play?
I thought the check-call on turn, may keep him from folding 88-JJ and give him an opportunity to stab at the pot.

Just curious because your suggested line makes my suggested line look like a weak-passive douche play and would like to correct my thinking here.

If UTG folds and MP calls I like b/f'ing the river better than check folding.
