Default Coping mechanism for anxiety

Recently I have been using this method in situations where I am feeling at all anxious or want to have more power over someone. I find that it helps tremendously. The only problem is that it seems a bit weird / strange -- what's your take on such an unconventional method?

My first thought was "that guy is full of"... well, nevermind. heh.

But seriously, you'll be happier in the long run if you work on doing positive things to improve yourself rather than concocting negative scenarios to diminish others. One of these days you'll be confident enough to stop caring so much. Natuarally confident and charismatic people automatically have the edge, anyway. Good luck!

The thing is, in my visualizations, the scenarios are not diminishing to the people involved. Rather than it being a humiliating or diminishing experience for them, it simply elevates my own status and is a convenient mental "shortcut" to having my mind believe they worship me.

I think you are better off using self speak to convince yourself that you are worth worshiping rather than others worship you.

I'm visualizing you choking on my fecal matter right now. Do you enjoy it?
