Judge finally after 3 deadlines missed closed Bodog.com and ordered the $48 million patent infringement suit. And Calvin says he will fight the ruling...this after missing 3 deadlines...Judges love arrogance....NOT!

ummm...bodog.com is shut down m8 and a $48 million fine will make sure they never get going again...just giving the facts m8.

I'm pretty sure that 48mil is chump change to a sports betting/poker site the size of Bodog. Well, maybe not chump change, but not enough to collapse the site.

48 mil won't kill them, but if they don't pay, don't get their domains back very fast (or at all) and lose a ton of players, that will hurt them bad. I'd be interested to see a graph of their traffic from a week ago to the near future.

This is not just a lawsuit...it is a judgement therefore the suiters can go after all of Bodog's assets if they wish. I started this thread to give my fellow players a HU as i saw nothing on this. This is no joke and I would NOT deposit any monies there and infact I would initiate withdrawls ASAP.

it's pretty bad news for Bodog....I agree.

I would assume they'd just pay the $48mil, but the judge may demand they show up in court.

We all know what would happen if Arye had to show up in court. He wouldn't think that "Catch me if you can" article in Fortune a couple years ago was too funny now.

to dispute the charges, you have to actually show up in court. Don't think anyone from bodog wants to do that.
