need: you know what happens. you drive to the bar and then you have a bit more than you thought you would. your choices are being responsible and taking a cab home or convincing yourself you can drive. one of the biggest reasons not to take a cab (in ppls minds) is having to figure out how to get their car back the next day.

business idea: a bunch of designated drivers available for hire that will take you home --in your own car--. they get around on little electric scooters that can fit in most peoples' trunks easy.

Lol, that would be fine in an ideal world. I see where you're coming from. I guess the bar should vet the drivers and keep them on standyby. The last thing you would want are rogue stations being setup. Carjackers would never have it any easier.

interesting. i always seem to think of things that already exist that i hadn't heard of lol. it was born out of a late night conversation at - where else? - a bar. I don't think that trust would be a big deal actually, there are all kinds of operations where if people were doing them with malicious intent it would be trouble - say cable installers or plumbers coming into your home, computer people working on your network, car and truck drivers driving millions of dollars worth of goods around the country. You have a company with insurance that properly screens its people that's all.

Does it exist using small scooters and all? or just a paid designated driver service?

I did a mock project regarding Double Ds Taxi service a year and a half ago in a Managment class in college...

I thought of this "original" idea and apparently no one in the class had heard of it either and was allowed to draft up a company for the class...

LIABLITY pimp slapped me...but it was a managment class so i spoke about those issues, not technicalities of day-to-day business...

holler for the powerpoint!
