Re: Playing overcards aggressively
i do this once in a while as a change of pace, but never with more than 3 people in the pot.
with all those folks left to act, this is closer to a fold than a raise. its by no means standard. |

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
Do we have any reads? We are getting sufficient odds to call one flop bet. The villian leading flop says she has something. What's her range? What about BB and UTG?
BB and UTG could check-raise in which case I'm folding. If they call I see turn with odds of about 14-1. With the pot in the 7-8BB range on the turn we are still getting odds to peel another one off. We could also pick up a redraw on the turn in which case are most likely going to see a river. I like to have some kind of read and against weaker opponents I might raise flop, but the standard play here is to call and fold turn UI. |

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
IMO this is a complete waste at that level (you do not need any type of fancy, or over aggressive, play to win at 5c-10c)
and it's most likely -ev if this table is for some reason 'tight' ... then move to another table (it's not like this is the only 5c-10c) now ... as for raising AK on this hand ... probably not the best move with a 4way pot and on the board is JT (two higly playable cards in the zone ... it's hit about a million hands) ... and we don't have any clue how any of these guys play you can probably call with two overs + bdf + bds |

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
As a default play it is spew.
If you have reads that these guys are weak then maybe but you are going to check behind on the turn if you are UI or fold to another donk. You don't want to make this play a lot and end up showing down A high a lot or you'll have a harder time getting people to fold 2nd or 3rd pair when you have 3rd or 4th pair. |

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
From the title I thought "spew", after reading the thread my mind hasn't changed.

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
I donīt like it, because if villain has K10 or A10 we are in trouble. (And we are going to bet if an A or K appears, right ?)

edit: never mind, gave too much credit for your outs. Fold.

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
[ QUOTE ]
I like the raise here -- you're getting 9:1 with two overs, a BDSD and a BDFD. So you have at least enough to peel -- but raising is better as it may clean up some outs and may earn you a free card. [/ QUOTE ] Any K can complete a straigt for QJ or at least opens the board for redraws. With an A we could fall for reverse domination. Against 3 opponents I think fold > call >>>> raise. |

Re: Playing overcards aggressively
raise is spew
i see this as a pretty easy call folding is a bit weak but probably keeps you out of trouble sometimes |
