A2s in SB vs big stack limper on button
25bb big stack limps in on button.
I have 8bb with A2h. Raise all in? Whats your range here? Hard to figure out buttons play.. and often I find they call with weaker hands than expected vs your raise here etc A6s 66 KJs blah. |

Re: A2s in SB vs big stack limper on button
generally speaking if BB has more than 2X my balance then I tighten up a bit here - but I'm pushing any Ace anyway. If he calls with K8 then thats good, right

Re: A2s in SB vs big stack limper on button
Please post how many other players are left and their stack size. If you're on the bubble, and UTG has only one BB left, for instance, pushing here is suicide

Re: A2s in SB vs big stack limper on button
This is a play that I used to make a lot and often regretted it. I think I found that the limper often had Ax or a small to medium pair and they typically don't fold. This just may be be my selective memory. Some sort of read on the larger stack could also help, such as if he has been limping a lot.

[/ QUOTE ] He could be calling with a lot of stuff as some people love to limp with the big stack. Read is critically important for the right call. Generally though, I'm super aggressive when I get heads up in situations like this because unless my opponent has seen me push over his limp before, he tends to fold to the push. |
